Dental Insurance
Understanding dental insurance.
Dental insurance, in its most basic form, is a cost-offset tool. Typically provided by employers or purchased individually by self-employed individuals, it functions more like a discount program or coupon than comprehensive health coverage. Its purpose is to provide limited assistance for routine preventive care and, in some cases, partial reimbursement for basic restorative treatments such as fillings or simple crowns.
While it can be a helpful support for maintaining regular checkups and hygiene visits, dental insurance was never designed to cover the full scope of what modern, comprehensive care entails. It rarely reflects the advancements in dental medicine or the level of precision, customization, and interdisciplinary care offered at high-end practices like ours.
At BITE Dental Center, we maintain in-network status with major insurance carriers as a courtesy to our patients – to help you maximize the benefits you’re entitled to. Our administrative team will gladly handle all aspects of insurance claims, including submission, documentation, and correspondence with your provider.
However, it’s important to understand that the final decision on any claim rests solely with the insurance company. As such, coverage decisions may not always align with your health needs or our clinical recommendations.
Our approach is clear: your care comes first. Our treatment planning is guided exclusively by what is medically and esthetically best for you, not by insurance limitations.
We believe that true health is proactive, personalized, and uncompromising. Insurance may offer limited assistance on this journey, but it is not the blueprint for wellness. At BITE Dental Center, we are committed to helping you understand your options while never compromising the standard of care you receive.
